I heard a story a while back that went sort of like this:

A man fell in a hole and couldn’t jump high enough to get out.

A psychiatrist came by and the man asked him to reach down and help him out. He said it was too far to reach, but that he hoped he would find his way out someday.

A priest came by, and the man asked him to reach down and help him out of the hole. The priest also said it was too far to reach, but he tossed down a bible to comfort him in his isolation.

Then a friend came by, saw him in the hole, and jumped right in.

“You fool” the first man said, “Now both of us are stuck in this hole”.

“Not true,” said his friend. “I’ve been in this hole before, and I can show you the way out.”

Some days it’s amazing how many people you can find standing around in your hole, each with a different way out.

The human mind is a grand invention! Like all grand inventions in history not everyone can afford a good one!
